What we cover, and what we don't
A fitted under-cushion support fixes one specific problem. We'd rather tell you that up front than sell you a board that hides a different one.
We can help when
- Your sofa has removable seat cushions.
- The frame is stable and the arms don't move.
- With the cushions off, the bare seat base sinks, feels stretched, or bounces, but nothing is broken.
- You want a reversible, hidden, no-tools fix that extends the sofa's life instead of replacing it.
- You're willing to measure the bare seat base, or send us a photo, so the fit is right.
Outside what we cover
- Broken or cracked frames
- Snapped, detached, or popped springs
- Most recliners
- Most sofa beds
- Attached (non-removable) cushions
- Severely collapsed or disintegrated cushion foam
- Children's furniture
For these, an under-cushion support either won't help or shouldn't be used. The sign-up asks about them and we'll say so if that's your sofa.
Plain statement
SofaSupports recommendations and any SofaSupports product are furniture accessories. They are not medical, therapeutic, ergonomic, or safety devices. We make no claims about injury prevention, posture, back health, mobility, or falls. If you need a seating aid for a health reason, please talk to a clinician or an occupational therapist rather than buying a furniture accessory.
Any weight figure we quote is the figure from the product's own published test, and we say whose test it was.
