What we're building
Every support board on the market is a fixed-size sheet with grip dots. Ours is a system that fits the seat it goes into.
- Cut-to-measure panels. Baltic birch, cut to your bare seat-base width and depth, in two or three sections so nothing is longer than about two feet.
- Folding joints. Printed links join the sections. It folds for the box and lies flat under the cushions.
- Stackable lift modules. Clip-on risers under the section that sags. Fix the favourite seat without hardening the whole sofa.
- Grip surface and soft edges. Silicone-dot fabric on top so it stays put; rounded edge caps so it never touches upholstery with a hard corner.

How to measure your seat
Two numbers from the bare base, cushions off. That's what we cut to. If you're not sure, send a photo of the bare base with your sign-up and we'll confirm before we cut anything.
- Width
- Inside of one arm to inside of the other, along the front edge.
- Depth
- Front edge of the base to the back rail, where the cushion stops.
- Seats
- How many seat cushions sit on that base. Sectionals: one piece at a time.

Questions people ask before they sign up
Can I buy one today?
Not yet. The first batch is in build and goes to the people on the first-build list, in order, as soon as each size is ready. Signing up costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Pre-order checkout opens shortly.
Why not just buy a $35 board?
If the board happens to match your seat, it can work. Most don't: the sizes come from a chart, the whole sofa goes hard instead of the one seat that sagged, and a 70-inch plank has to ship as a 70-inch plank. Ours is cut to your seat, lifts only where you need it, and folds into a small box.
What is it made of?
Birch plywood panels, printed joints and risers, a silicone-dot grip fabric on top, and soft rounded edge caps. No metal, no tools to install, nothing permanent done to the sofa.
Recliners? Sofa beds? Attached cushions?
No. The mechanism under a recliner or sleeper is where the sag usually is, and a support can interfere with it. Sewn-in cushions leave nothing to fit to. The sign-up asks, and we'll say so if that's your sofa.
What happens with my email and measurements?
We use them to make and offer you your support, and for nothing else. We don't sell or share them. Reply to any email from us and you're removed.
